The CAA is a nice tool for anyone using a rectangular shaped camera sensor. It allows framing to suit your target and preferences. I would have given it 5 stars but the sortware in Asiair does lack some basic features and no full manual control. I am sure as time passes, ZWO will add more user control features but for now it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Mechanically it is well built with minimal rotational backlash in the internal gears.

Le rotateur est facile d’installation, il faut simplement tenir compte de son épaisseur pour respecter le back focus de la camera.
Malheureusement la mauvaise température des derniers jours ne m’a permis de vérifier le fonctionnement dans une situation réelle de prise d’images. Merci

This is a luxury item, in the sense that a substitute is the built-in rotator on all of my Askar refractors. It is not so much a luxury when you consider that it is not that expensive, easy to install and so convenient if one is using an ASIAir. The CAA saves one from recalibrating guiding when it is rotated. With manual rotation guiding needs to be recalibrated each time. Given the rarity of clear nights (without other commitments) I like how quickly I can start my imaging plan.

Efficace

Fonctionne très bien, bien fait, interface avec asiair plaisante, MAIS...
En mode plan avec asiair, l'angle de rotation n'est pas reproductible, et est aléatoire. Nécessité d'ajuster "manuellement" l'angle de rotation. Il n'y a pas la possibilité de parker l'appareil, l'angle de rotation n'est pas implémenté dans les métadonnées du fit. Bref, belle version beta, attendre la mise à jour avant d'acheter si vous aimez le mode plan comme moi dans l'asiair.

What I liked about the rotator ! very smooth and quiet, no drifting , perfect 360 rotation . In both direction And most importantly there was no bend or play in the optical path regardless of the amount of weight on the rotator.what I would have liked to see was the lettering laser etched instead of printed . Overall very good design and product

Have this set up with my ASI2600MC duo air and ZWO FF130. Works flawlessly. Haven't used it outside yet but all tests are great.
