The hub includes communication ports for Serial and USB (using a supplied USB/ Serial cable) and wired Ethernet Network protocols as standard. An optional WiFi board and antenna can be added and installed at any time. Focuser 1 and Focuser 2 ports are avail- able at the top of the Focuser Boss II hub with 12VDC Power, Network, optional Hand Control, and Serial connection ports available at the bottom. An optional aluminum mounting plate makes it easy to mount the Focuser Boss II hub to any telescope pier or mount.

Multiple Software Options

Using the ASCOM Local Server model, the software for the Focuser Boss II allows multiple clients to connect simultaneously to the Focuser Boss II hub. Additionally, embedded web servers in the wired Ethernet and WiFi connections enable the Focuser Boss II to generate a control interface accessible through any web browser or smartphone. Free Android and iPhone appli- cations search the local network and load the interactive web- pages. Because these pages are generated by the hub itself, onceyou are connected, there is no further configuration required: just connect to your focusers and enjoy remote wireless focus control with the optional 802.11 WiFi add-on.

Any ASCOM client, Mac users of TheSky X or Equinox, or any web browser can be used to control either or both focusers attached to the Focuser Boss II hub.

Multiple Focusers to Control

The Focuser Boss II Control Hub can be used with a variety of focusers and focus motor add-ons.

The HSM20 will fit any Feather Touch Micro Focuser, Feather Touch retrofit pinion assembly upgrade, and Feather Touch Crayford Focuser.

The HSM30 will fit any 2.5”, 3.0” and 2.0” Feather Touch Rack/Pinion Focuser, and Astro Physics 2.7” with Feather Touch pinion assembly upgrade.

The HSM35 will fit any 3.5” Feather Touch Focuser, Astro-Physics 3.5” and 4.0” with Feather Touch pinion assembly upgrade.

For heavier image trains and non Feather Touch Focusers, Starlight Instruments offers the Posi Drive Motor System (PDMS) which can lift in excess of 56 pounds.

In the Box

Focuser Boss II
Power Cable

Manual & Warranty

Starizona 1-Year Warranty

Starlight Instruments Focuser Boss II Installation Setup Instructions

Starlight Instruments Focuser Boss II Brochure

Starlight Instruments Electronic Focusing System Brochure

Starlight Instruments Feather Touch Focusers Brochure

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0652/6245/2965/files/starlight-instruments-focuser-boss-ii-electronic-focuser-control-fb-ii-kit-1-astronomy-plus_87f87cd1-dd06-4398-bd55-f0331e137531.png?v=1690485918
https://istronomyplus.com/products/starlight-instruments-focuser-boss-ii-electronic-focuser-control-fb-ii-kit-1
